ORIENTAL
In Eastern culture, tattoos are called Irezumi and are linked to the identity or history of each person. In Japan they were banned for some time and are still not well regarded by society, but Japanese tattoo culture has transcended borders and has influenced many artists in the rest of the world.
The compositions in Japanese tattoo can cover entire areas of the body and tell mythological stories that can leave a moral, teaching or example. The recurring motifs of the Japanese style can be: sakura, koi, dragons, phoenixes, geishas, chrysanthemums, peonies, among other typical themes from the folklore of that country.
